Biography

AK Milli, born Akil Ahmad in Orange, NJ and raised in Montclair, NJ a prominent and affluent town in North Jersey first learned of his love for music at the early age of twelve years old. Ak Milli is the third oldest of five brothers and 1 baby sister who passed away at the young age of five months due to heart complications. His dedication and strength comes from being raised by his parents who took the no non-sense approach to raising their children.
AK Milli is versatile because he can make real music that people want to hear and can switch it up go commercial and give the people a different sound. AK Milli says, "I can make a pop record, I can do anything I put my mind too".
Im from New Jersey. Were overlooked in the game. Its Artist that have came from here who had the power to be killing the game right now but didnt have the smarts or didnt take the opportunity when they were suppose to.
I want to be different. I wanna put NJ back on the map.

Spitting verses with the hottest out right now, I have so many different flows I can give yall, I rap about about real events, I go commercial, and I can do bubblegum, lol. I can freestyle and give yall street talk.
I grew up listening to the Lox. They always been the realest and hottest in the industry to me but never got the proper recognition they deserved. Theyre all well known artist but I just think they should have been Doing like these big music groups we see now. Jadakiss is my Favorite artist though hands down, hes just to slick. I also was a big Fan of Big L. Its Sad He had to Die So Young.. I try not to listen to too much industry music. I pretty much just listen to my own music and new beats I want to use. The name of the movement is called, H.O.S Ent (Hustle or Starve Entertainment) I look at it like You either hustlin and im not saying in a negative light.

Hustlin could be postive also and if you not doing nothing to better yourself or get bye you going Starve. Hustle or Starve is The Group but we all have Solo Projects. The Group Consist of Rob Sims, Swaggaroni, Ms Kirah, Jane Doe, and myself. The movement is about making good music for the public and doing it diligently while staying very consistent . Some artist make a song and there career is over. Not Me. I wanna Hit da Industry wit Single after single after single. I just want my name to be known for making good music and getting my foot in the door for right now. Im Patiently Waiting for a chance. Yes I've been involved in many show cases in the new jersey and new york city which Ive gotten pretty good feedback from people who have attended my events.

Opened up for Foxy Brown in early August
DealMakers earlier this year. Im currently involved in making the next hit being hosted by CTE Records. Theyre looking for new artist and offering a $250,000 recording deal. Currently have 3 videos Done with some more in the process. Ive worked with some really good production companies such as Cross Bonze Productions, Canvas Red Films, and Makin Moves Productions.
Ive been on a few College Radio stations such as William Patterson Radio, Rutgers Radio, Kean Radio, talktocity.com, and a few others. I've worked with a few good producers such as D Aki based out of Irvington, Ton Ton Based out of Quad Studios In New York City, Tempa in West Orange and Heathen, one of Jim Jones Producers.
AK Milli says, "I plan on making a bigger impact on the game than new artist today. I can be just as catch as them and I'm definitely swagged out enough". I want to bring real hip hop back, when you had to be a hot lyricist to be somebody. Now a days you can say anything and be somebody, its a shame.
